As a dentist myself I know I am a particularly fussy patient and Carmelo was so calm and so skilful that I pretty well enjoyed the surgical extraction especially after 5 days of toothache.He has a great sense of humour, very professional, also extremely painless and efficient.His high level of experience made a difficult job seem easy. His staff are well trained and friendly and I can’t recommend his surgery highly enough.

Dr Bonanno looks after the more difficult aspects of our special needs adult son. Dr Bonanno is an excellent dentist and his caring demeanour is really appreciated by all of us. The staff match his caring nature. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

The practice is clean with a calm environment and the staff are very friendly.
My consultation with Dr. Carmelo was right on schedule with no waiting around. As soon as i walked in to the room he made me feel comfortable, relaxed and made funny jokes so my anxiety subsided straight away.

I was told that i will only need 3 wisdom teeth extracted under sedation because the 4th one isn't causing any pain or problems and there could be a high risk removing this one as there is a nerve running through the gum near it.

I was first referred to a different clinic in Braddon by my dentist where they were going to remove all 4 wisdom teeth and did not even let me know that there was a risk in removing the 4th one which has made me quite furious. They were going to charge me $3470 plus a cancellation fee because i called 2 hours out of the 24 hours notice policy. I had to wait almost 3 months for my surgery from my initial consultation with no advice on how to itleast deal with the pain or fear of infection.

After seeing Dr. Bonanno Carmelo i was able to make the surgery 1 week after my consultation and i have been quoted under $1300 including everything.

I am very happy i was referred here and i HIGHLY recommend anyone to see Dr. Carmelo.

I was referred to Dr Carmelo Bonanno recently by a general dentist in Civic, to extract my last remaining wisdom tooth. Had the first three extracted by the same, under an LA without incident many years ago. So I was keen to avoid having a GA just to remove one tooth, even though it was going to be a more difficult extraction. The possible illness involved and a longer recovery time mainly. The twilight sedation experience was fantastic. I was so calm and relaxed and didn't feel a thing. I think that the only thing missing for me was waking up to the strident music of Canberra's 91.9 1 WAY FM! He was very friendly, highly skilled and great at explaining everything. His staff were very helpful and informative too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to my family and friends. Many thanks.

I had all four wisdom teeth out by Dr Carmelo Bonnano. I was terrible nervous, and spoke to one of the staff on the phone a couple of days prior and they helped me feel a little bit calmer. Arriving to the surgery crying, but Dr Bonnano was so quick to come in to the room, insert the needle and start the sedative medication so that I was asleep within in seconds from what I can remember. No waiting around being nervous. Even my partner who was there when I fell asleep said that Dr Bonnano had such good chair side manners and was very friendly. The day after they called me to ask how I was feeling and when I found something on google I got a fast reply on me email enquiry. Went to this surgery on recommendations online and couldn't agree more and recommend them more!

Dr Carmelo Bonanno is my favourite dentist where I am still a patient for many years. I have found him and his staff very professional and very pleasant. Best of all is that his available IV treatment takes the fear away from anybody that suffers from needle phobia.

I was THE most nervous patient in the world as I have serious needle phobia! Armed with my emla patches (deadens the area where the needle in the back of my hand went in - yes I am that bad!), I was looked after in THE BEST way possible. Dr Bonanno and his staff were wonderful and I would highly recommend them to anybody who needs extractions - mine was under sedation and I highly recommend this for nervous people like myself.
