The end of my sporting career, I was told I needed an ICL operation only to get back to professional career, Straight after the operation I had a visit from Dr Justin Roe then I was told I have lost 50% of the cartilage on my knee and I can’t run if I do I will damage my kee, it was a shock because I was told that will be going back to running as normal again.
I really didn’t need an operation if I know that.
Very dishonest person unprofessional Dr trying to make money no matter how.
I hope karma will get him.

I went to see him, 3 months after accident, for discussion of ACL reconstruction after ruptured ACL and multiple other injuries. He threw my referral letters on the table without reading them and asked a few questions about my desire to return to trail running, then quickly snapped, 'Well, why aren't you out running then?' I said ' My physio said...' and he thrust his hand into my face in the stop sign and said loudly, 'I dont care what your physio says! You should be out running by now!' He did not listen to my symptoms of severe pain and swelling and ignored my GP and physio (who actually KNEW my case, unlike him who had not even examined me!). He was rude and dismissive. He then said 'Anyway if I did another MRI you would find your ACL has grown back. Surely Dr X told you that!' I said (honestly) 'No - he said the MCL would grow back but the ACL was a complete rupture and would not grow back.' The look of rage that crossed this doctor's face to have a contradictory opinion was really scary and I was so glad I was at the end of my appointment. This man scared me. I am not sure if he is a narcissist in general or just really burnt out, but I would advise people to look elsewhere. I know being a health professional is hard, but when people are this burnt out and disrespectful it is near time for AHPRA to step in. When I look at the other reviews he seems to get great ratings when treating teenage girls. I suggest other patients try someone else.

Started With rude reception - ended with rushed pushy quote for surgery .....with a gap of almost $10k. Felt very pressured to agree to being part of his latest research despite clearly stating wish not to participate. Don’t waste your time here.

Dr Roe performed ACL surgery on our 16 year old daughter last year. He came highly recommended from another Orthopaedic Surgeon. He did not disappoint. His work was fantastic, he was professional and approachable. He made our daughter feel comfortable and throughly explained everything to her in a way that she could understand. He also worked well with our daughter's physiotherapist to ensure best possible after care.

I would not recommend Dr Roe. Starts with a poor booking lady then continues with his arrogance during consultation. Talked down to me when i asked questions, wouldn't explain anything and basically dismissed my concerns. Don't bother wasting your money. There are just as good surgeons around.

After my experience I could not possibly recommend Dr Justin Roe.
He was not the slightest bit interested in determining why I was in constant pain after my knee replacement and why my knee flexibility was pathetic. Other medicos eventually found out what was wrong and my problems were quickly resolved. For 14 months I was forced to suffer severe, constant debilitating pain, all of which would have been avoidable had Dr Roe been more focused on his job.
Choose your surgeon carefully!

Can't rate on technical ability. Bedside manner could be better. Is brash, significant ego.

A wonderful surgeon who specializes in KNEES. A fantastic surgeon who has worked wonders with my daughter. He has taken away her pain and given her back the joy of sport. I cannot speak highly enough about Dr Roe. He operates at The Mater in North Sydney, and consults at his rooms there. For convenience, he also consults at Gosford on a regular basis.
