Dr Samuel Soo

I started seeing Dr Soo around May 2019 after a miscarriage and trying to conceive for a few months since. Dr Soo has been nothing but wonderful, supportive, empathetic, very knowledgeable and proactive. He always took his time to explain things very thoroughly and made sure there was time for me to ask any questions to ensure I was comfortable at all times. He has given us two beautiful boys, with the last one born a week and a half ago. We are so thankful and would highly recommend Dr Soo.

I came to Dr. Sam Soo for a second opinion. I had an 11.5cm fibroid which was giving me excruciating pains. I was hospitalised twice from passing out from the pain.

Dr. Soo was very patient and explained my options in a way I could understand it. Especially not ever knowing what a fibroid was before actually having one.

He gets to the point, mixed in with a little humor which makes the consult enjoyable.

On my surgery day, I was very anxious and he sensed that straight away. After talking with me for a while he assured me that he was very confident.

I would also like to thank his wonderful team at the consulting suites and hospital. Everyone was so lovely and made me feel comfortable :)

I would highly recommend Dr. Soo as a surgeon! I would trust him with my uterus anyday!

We went to Dr Soo after failing to fall pregnant with a previous specialist. Dr Soo was very knowledgeable and gave us options that the previous specialist had not, which quickly resulted in pregnancy. He has a great bedside manner and very accommodating to individual birthing needs and desires. He is pro-VBAC. Also, I found his staff to be very professional and lovely people.

I would very very highly recommend Dr Sam Soo. Not only did he show compassion in listening to my concerns when others gynecologist's would not, but he also did what he could to help find the best solution for me. Thank you Dr Soo you saved my life, literally. His staff are also wonderful.

I used to see a obstetrician/gynecologist in Boronia who although was good didn't have the bedside manner/empathy I needed after suffering several pregnancy losses, instead prescribing me clomid and telling me to come see him when I was 8 weeks pregnant. I decided to see Dr Sam Soo and have not regreted my decision at all. He was proactive and made sure I was ovulating properly and once pregnant put me on blood thinning medications and progesterone to ensure this pregnancy was given the best chance. He has been a wonderful support throughout this pregnancy and has done his best to keep my anxiety levels low. I'm due to give birth in 3 and a bit weeks. Would highly recommend Sam to everyone

I went to dr soo after a bad experience with a previous fertility specialist. Not only did Sam make me feel welcome and comfortable during our visits he got results! I was very impressed with his knowledge expertise and friendly demeanour. I couldn't recommend him highly enough.

My wife and I are first time parents. Our whole experience with preparing for parenthood has been great especially with Sam's assistance, in particular his great experience, expertise and professionalism. We were referred to Sam by another family friend who used his services last year. From a husband's point of view, Sam was patient with my wife, thorough with his communication to us and made sure we were 100% comfortable with all our options at all times. He made me, as a husband, feel involved and an integral part of the birthing process so I could share it as best I could with my wife. My wife and I had a beautiful baby daughter a month ago and we are over the moon.

I went to see Dr. Soo as it was suggested I may need surgery for a troublesome fibroid and he was recommended due to his expertise in laparoscopic surgery. He was patient and took time to explain options with me. He suggested I needed medication called Synarel (not Synovial as another post says - she should check her facts before posting incorrect information) which helps with preparation for fibroid surgery. So after a few months I had the surgery which all went smoothly at Epworth Freemasons hospital. The staff was great and I am feeling really good, it took a couple of weeks to get back to "normal" ie. anaesthetic and small wounds healing but I can highly recommend Dr. Soo as he was recommended to me by a friend who is a nurse at the hospital and I am glad she did. Hoping to go back to him for to deliver some babies for us! He is also and obstetrician and fertility specialist. Would highly recommend- his anaesthetist Dr. Lilley was also very kind and patient catering for my nerves!

It was very good second appointment where I was given an honest opinion and satisfying advice regarding. Very satisfied with service at this clinic, although it was bit expensive though.

Dr Soo was the 3rd OBGYN that I seen within a year and a half. He is the first surgeon that I have met that dosnt have a God like complex and was able to communicate with women. My problem was difficult and unpredictable. He gave me options that his 'esteemed collogues', who had left bedridden in pain, didnt even mention. He gave me LAP Hysterectomy. Everything went well. I found him intelligent and pleasant.

words cant describe how thankful we are through IVf and our pregnancy. We moved to melbourne from sydney only to find out he has moved here too... hopefully he is not as busy here as he was there.
