Dr Cattanach (Steve) is a wonderful man and dr. we spent 3 years with him for infertility issues and also our first pregnancy. I ended up with hyperemesis with my pregnancy and Steve was a life saver. He listened to me and took it very seriously. He is kind, humble and truly listens. I’m now pregnant with my second and sick again but Steve is on a well deserved extended break and we miss him. I truly wish he was here to support me again.
Please ignore that one star review, it was obviously a miscommunication or a bad day. I spent 3 years with Steve and not once had any bad interactions with him and we had to navigate a lot of problems in that time.
His administration team are lovely as well. Especially Kris.

I can not rate him higher. He was always extremely caring, kind and humble. His knowledge and ability to communicate, impeccable. Bedside manor and time spent me was never rushed. He treated me as an old friend and I always felt like I was in very safe hands, outstanding gentleman in all respects. There’s no other Gynae or even GP specialist I can rate higher.

In April 2000, my wife was found to have polyps in her cervix and was referred to Dr. Stephen Cattanach. I was in Australia then as an international student doing my masters under a scholarship program at QUT. We have been a childless couple for 12 years when it happened. After the D&C and work-up with Dr. Stephen, my wife got pregnant by June that year.

To us, Dr. Stephen was very accommodating and just like a friend whom you can be at ease and feel confident that you are in good hands. I have noted that his clinic was full of photo albums of mothers and babies he has attended to which added to the positive aura of his clinic.

When my wife's period was delayed, her urine test showed negative but when we called up Dr. Stephen, he instructed us to go to his clinic, get the request for a blood test (as far as my recollection, it was S&N lab). The request had a note, "inform the patient immediately of the result" (I believe he was already confident that my wife was pregnant). After 4 hours, my wife and I were hugging each other with tears of joy and disbelief... It was after the call from the Lab... Our daughter is now 12 years old.

I found Dr Cattanach on the recommendation of my previous obstetrician who was retiring. I found him to be very supportive and willing to let me have a go at a VBAC. I would (and have) recommend him to anyone.

We used him for both pregnancies and he was great both times. He listened to our concerns and never rushed us during appointments. He was excellent in the delivery room and I knew I could trust him. Definitely will recommend him to anyone!

We had a great experience with this doctor. Having had troubles with our first delivery through another doctor, we changed to this one on recommendation. He listed to our concerns throughout the pregnancy, and worked with us to create a plan to deal with potential problems along the way. Preg and delivery went smoothly, and recovery was much easier. Highly recommended.
