Dr Sush is an amazing, professional and caring obstetrician who delivered our first baby, Olivia in May. My husband and I could not be happier with our choice of OB and feel grateful to have had Dr Sush by our side for the journey.

I came across Dr Sush’s profile online during my search for an OB and I was blown away by the extremely positive experiences other parents had reported. Having experienced it for myself, I can honestly say that Sush exceeded all expectations.

Sush made the effort from our very first consultation to get to know me, my partner, our circumstances and our goals. Throughout every appointment, Sush would communicate with us in a way that prepared us but also comforted us. He was always calm, confident, caring and friendly. He was also always available to answer any questions; always replying to texts so quickly that I would never begin to feel anxious waiting for the response.

I didn’t have a detailed birth plan, but Sush knew that I wanted to try for a vaginal birth and avoid a c-section, as long as it was safe for our baby. Whilst I had a healthy pregnancy, the position of our baby during delivery meant that I had to have an emergency c-section. Sush was calm and professional throughout, taking the time to ensure that I was fully informed and that I was in control. Every effort was made to fulfill my wishes for a vaginal delivery. But when the time came for Sush to give me his advice, I accepted it without hesitation, trusting him whole-heartedly, and he delivered our girl safely into this world. And the care didn’t end there, Sush was also thorough in his after-care, communicating to us frequently in the days following the birth and then at the six week follow up appointment, making sure that I was both physically and mentally doing well.

I always looked forward to our regular appointments with Sush (especially during this COVID crisis) and I am disappointed that we now don’t have an excuse to see him for a while. But I will definitely be using Sush again for baby number two. We can’t thank him enough!

I had an elective laparoscopic hysterectomy. With COVID-19 delaying my procedure, Dr Sushen remained in contact with me and was able to get me in when available and made sure I was comfortable doing so. He explained my options and procedures very well, always ensuring I understood and willing to answer any questions. The surgery itself went great, as well as Dr Sushen’s follow up at the hospital and then again at my 6 week check up. He was very professional but also made you feel comfortable and was easy to talk to. I’d highly recommend him for his services.

We met Dr Sush for fertility advice at Fertile Ground and from the moment we had our first appointment I said to my husband “once I’m pregnant he has to be our OB!” Sush is very attentive, listens to concerns and questions and always provides advice and answers with options and patience.

We got pregnant quite quickly and started seeing Sush for obstetrics care, unfortunately I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks. Sush provided amazing support throughout this very difficult process and took time to explain everything throughout the next few weeks. He would even check in with me every few days to make sure I was OK and I felt genuinely cared for and supported.

I was lucky enough to fall pregnant again two months later and throughout the nine months the appointments with Sush were great! He never rushed us and he genuinely took an interest in me as the whole person and also encouraged participation from my husband and our older daughter.

When it came to my delivery I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing and positive experience. Sush was open to me having a natural no intervention labour and was also complimentary of calm birthing, meditation and relaxation techniques I wanted to use. When I got nervous as things moved very quickly Sush worked calmly with me to bring our baby into the world just as I wanted.

He had a great demeanour and helped me to feel confident in what I needed to do.

It was empowering and fantastic to be in the care of someone who we had built such trust with and my husband and I felt we were a real team with Sush.

Fantastic OB! Was referred to Dr Sush by another well known OB in the area as he wasn’t available to deliver my baby. I didn’t want to see another OB and was quite concerned about that but agreed to see Dr Sush anyway. Best decision I made during my pregnancy!
Dr Sush, while being professional, was also extremely approachable, friendly and was always contactable. He has a calming and relaxing nature and for anyone anxious during their pregnancy, he has a way of helping to put things into perspective - realistically.

I had a high risk pregnancy with lots of complications. Dr Sush regularly called or messaged me to check in and see how I was feeling. He was willing to take my calls or messages anytime during the day.

As a doctor myself I was worried that it would be expected that I would know a lot about pregnancy and labour. However, as this was my first pregnancy I needed as much guidance and reassurance as any other person. Sush provided this without making me feel inadequate and genuinely seemed to look forward to meeting my husband and I when we went in for consults. He was contactable 24/7 and always reminded and encouraged us to contact him with any questions or concerns. It was easy to feel like I was his only patient.
My consults were never rushed and he always had time to go though all possible scenarios. I really valued the fact that he accepted my wish to not have a caesarean unless absolutely necessary and he was very supportive of my desire to have a natural birth.
My husband also found him very easy to talk to. He was also very welcoming to my other family members and never made them feel like an imposition.
During my labour he was in constant contact with me and very calm. I actually felt like he would be disappointed to miss the birth. After the birth he came to visit each day and would sit down and stay for half and hour to have a chat about how things had gone and were going.
Should I have another child I can’t image finding anyone else as competent and empathetic. I would highly recommend Sush.
