Excellent OBGYN. Have seen him for both pregnancies which were both smooth sailing until the end. His calmness reassurance and expertise in what he does is honestly worth every cent. I had a vaginal birth then planned c section and my scar is barely noticeable. He has also mentioned that we can try for vbac next time if all ok, without hesitation (actually he brought this up) Honestly - don't be put off by his lack of chit chat during your appointments, when it comes down to the crunch he is excellent!
His post natal care was also amazing.

The first time I met Dr Davis I was a bit put off, his bedside manner is so so, maybe intimidating is the word. The second time I dealt with him I basically fell in love, I have never felt so cared for, my baby and I were in the best hands. He saved my babies life when I was going into preterm labour, quickly stitching my cervix, I still haven't given birth but my son is now at a viable gestation all thanks to him. You can't put a price on what he does, sitting in a waiting room for hours is just what happens when seeing a specialist. You would rather them run out on your consult to save a life then read through your notes and pat you on the back, if it was you that needed them they would be there. Think befor you complain, it's ignorant. 110% recommend him and his team.

The waiting time is absolutely rediculous. I have waited an hour and a half each time to see him. Even though i am in a health fund and was in excruciating pain it took 7 weeks before i could get an appointment. Never seen him smile. I will be trying someone else next time.

I really like Dr Davis, have had 2 babies through him, both caesareans (1 emergency and 1 planned due to baby being in oblique position). He is expensive but very good at what he does and always wants what is best for Mum and Bub. Sometimes you can spend a LONG time in his waiting room, but to be expected, likely your child's birth will cause the same for others.

Approximate cost: $3500

Could you please advise if your cost was with private health cover?
Thanks :)

One of Wollongong's very few OBGYNs. He is a very good choice for anybody seeking assistance with their pregnancy. He works with Dr Coleman, who my grandmother tells me is also very good (as he did a surgery for her prolapsed bladder). Dr Davis has a pretty good bedside manner for a doctor, really cares about his patients, their babies & is extremely good at what he does as well. He has a very good reputation as being the neatest for c-section scars & I can tell you this is true for me. I have had both a natural & a c-section delivery with him & he was great (not really a scar at all). I think he can be pretty difficult to get into as a new patient but well worth the effort. Think it was about $2000 gap last time which was charged mid pregnancy.

Approximate cost: $2000
