Drive Perth's Driving School

passed my Driving test a few days ago and I had a 90 min lesson with Steve Kolb from Drive, he said that I am a quick learner but he is an awesome instructor, patient understanding and very accurate in explaining things. I highly recommend Drive driving school to everyone.

I've had Rory as my instructor and it's been a great experience! He's gentle, calm, and a good teacher. I appreciate that he finds new ways to explain driving techniques when one method doesn't seem to be working for me.

Had Peter as my instructor - he was super lovely and helped me pass my test on the first go even though I only gave him 2 weeks notice before my test! He was really accommodating for different pick-up and drop-off locations for when I had to go to school and made driving really comfortable. Thanks!

Lewis is a patient and experienced instructor. I cannot thank him enough for all the support and patience that he showed while being my instructor. I recommend him to everyone looking to get their red Ps.

Learning driving in the late 20s is already torturous and that too on a manual car and on foreign land. Lewis taught all the important aspects of driving in an easy and nerve-calming way. Many times I bugged him on text messages to ask about rules while practising with my friends and he always replied.

Background: Absolute beginner with zero experience driving.

I took my lessons with Steve. Being a beginner I had no idea about how cars worked but my instructor had it covered: from the very basic acceleration/brake controls to the way they tie in with the transmission and gears. There were many areas where I needed good amounts of practice e.g. adjusting to traffic conditions with parked vehicles on left lanes, taking note of pedestrians/motorcyclists jumping into the roads where we intend to turn, to name a few. Despite committing mistakes repetitively, Steve was able to find a teaching method suitable to me and ensured I drove comfortably making full use of the controls.

Would certainly attribute my P-plates and my driving skills to Steve’s teaching. Excited to take forward the good habits I gained during my lessons, and to apply them in practice.
