I know it's a German place and this means they will mainly serve meat (sausages) which is fine - my meat eating friends enjoyed their sausages - but they really need to improve their vegetarian options for people who are with a group and may not have first choice of dining location which was the story in my case. I was the only vegetarian in the group so I was a bit singled out, and while I'm the only one who came away disappointed I think vegetarians should be catered for a bit better. There was really only one vegetarian option which was a quiche/tart sort of dish which was supposed to have blue cheese in it but I couldn't taste any blue cheese - and blue cheese is very hard to miss! At least 2-3 vegetarian options should be on a menu. On a lighter note, the beer is amazing :) I wish I had just had beer and no food!

Very nice food and decent beer. Many places claim to be "German" but unlike it's Margaret River counterpart the Swan Valley Duckstein really does make me feel like I'm back in Bavaria. It does get pretty busy on weekends so service can be slow and you'll need to pre book for groups

German Restaurant & Brewery, love the Duckstein, real German beer garden, hearty Germanic food, saurkraut and sausage, HUGE servings. Order at the bar, drinks prices quite reasonable.

Approximate cost: $25.00
