I love going in and looking around the recycle yard - can't always find what I am looking for, but many times I find something else useful. I enjoy re-using something that someone else has finished with, and I am always happy to take things to the tip, knowing that the useful things will go back into the recycle yard, rather than landfill.
Got quite a few little things dirt cheap for the garden and house repairs. Heaps of cheap plastic pots for the gardener. I also got a cheap old sleeper to use as a step in the garden.
The Recovery yard is one of my favourite places they have got thing that you wouldn't even think of. They are very cheap. Pavers are only 50 cents each. All different sorts of furniture, sporting equipment, bikes, carpet, fridges, building things and sometimes if your lucky there might even get power tools. A little advice if you break your microwave glass plate don't buy a new one, the have all sizes you will be bound to get one that will fit your microwave. As the old saying goes "one mans trash is another ones treasure" For anyone that goes there will always come out with a bargain.
The Eaglehawk Recycle shop has been open for business now for about 15 years and is a great place to pick up a bargain.
With a wide range of goods from furniture through to garden supplies, bikes, white goods, car parts, books, and the list goes on and on......you're bound to find what you are looking for :)
