We just love Eaglereach. We have celebrated our last two anniversaries and look forward to returning for many more.

Set high in the Hunter Valley with individual accommodation it's the perfect escape for couples. We watched kangaroos grazing whilst sipping champagne in our private outdoor spa.

The restaurant is amazing, watching birds and possums feed on the deck. There's specials everyday and the picnic baskets and BBQ baskets are recommended. They provide everything you need for your picnic by the lake or your BBQ on your deck.

The staff are all so friendly and helpful, we were welcomed with a glass of bubbly on check in.

Lots of walking tracks and there's loads to keep kids happy too. There's a games room, tennis court, pool and play equipment. It's all in the same area so you can supervise while relaxing by the pool or working out on the exercise equipment.

We can't wait for our next trip. We always leave our mobile phones and other electronics at home to really enjoy the quiet time and getting back to nature

It is great you are on top of the world, peaceful, wallabies come right up to you and eat out of your hand. I recommend the GALLERY Lodge, it is right at the top, has a kitchen, BBQ and spa. It is in the mountains, no shops close by. So you need to bring everything you need with you. There is a restaurant but it is expensive.

Approximate cost: $200p/n
