By suburban standards, especially in a conservative residential suburb such as Balwyn, restaurants like Eastern Bell are limited. I love that they have been a stalwart in the community for many years, and have managed to retain both service and food standards throughout all the years. The menu, whilst remaining true to its roots, is not cliched or dated.

Eastern Bell is a small restaurant in Balwyn that serves Chinese cuisine and specialises in seafood. I went there for my 18th birthday and from the moment i walked in it was 5 star service all the way. I was shown to my table and the waiter placed our napkins across our laps. For the rest of the night as soon as anyone?s glass became dangerously low a waiter would scurry over and top us up.
However the service was not the only outstanding part of the evening, because although pricey (at least for a uni student) the food was great and served in a timely fashion.
In conclusion a great place to go with friends, family or co-workers for any occasion. Great food, excellent service and friendly atmosphere.
