Just had my blinds installed and so very happy with all aspects really - they managed to get them made quickly as I required ( within a week!) most had me looking at a 4 week turn around, so I was thrilled. They look very smart and I will be recommending Easy Blinds to anyone that needs blinds etc. Thanks Easy Blinds!

EASY BLINDS – TERRIB LE, UNPROFESSIONAL, DOWNRIGHT ABYSMAL!

Whatever you do, NEVER USE EASY BLINDS!

We hardly know where to begin when describing how incredibly BAD our experience was with Easy Blinds, how UNPROFESSIONAL the service we received was and how POOR the resulting blinds are.

From first contact to woeful end, this was our experience:

• The salesman who came to our house was incredibly pushy calling way too frequently after the initial visit
• We should have heard the alarm bells when we saw how the workmen used the scaffolding we provided: they climbed it in a really unsafe way with no regard for workplace safety. They also broke the trapdoor and didn't mention anything, no apologies, nothing.
From there things went from bad to worse:

• One blind was measured incorrectly causing delays to the installation
• Rather than using a studfinder, they drilled holes willy nilly until they found a roof beam leaving multiple unusable and visible holes in our lovely wooden eaves.
• No proper advice was given in terms of rewiring for the electricians who were present on site.
• When trying to resolve one of the many problems, we called Easy Blinds and had a great deal of trouble getting hold of right person. On ringing the main number the person who answered our call simply didn't want to deal with problem. Despite explaining what the problem was (the screws on one of the blinds were mounted vertically into cement with only standard plastic wall plugs used for a heavy blind with the blind consequently pulling out of the masonry and almost damaging our car. Also spacing wasn't used to allow for the pelmet to fit adjacent to the masonry wall) they insisted it wasn't a problem
• Foolishly thinking the installers knew what they were doing, we didn't hover over them every moment. Then we noticed that 4 out of 7 blinds had been mounted the wrong way around. Seriously? Were they paying any attention at all???? With the fabric was mounted the wrong way, this meant they drilled the rivets out of the winding mechanism which disconnected the motor mechanism and therefore raising and lowering the blinds was interrupted.
• We were also shocked to discover that none of the inside seams of the blinds were finished. They are not fraying and unsightly.
• As the blinds are not taught, they therefore wind up unevenly, creating big wrinkles and ripples that stay on the blind, permanently distorting the fabric.
• One of the blinds had a manual Gear which was also installed the wrong way around
• The stainless steel cables used were not mounted straight on the walls and therefore the blinds are not taught. Furthermore the cables were cut so short that it is now impossible to provide tension to the ropes. Some of the cables have also pulled out completely.
• Non weather proof fastening was used on the outside of the pelmets with result that they are rusting.
• Where the wire rope is attached to the pelmet the pelmet is not strong enough to support the wire rope so the pelmet is bending.
• When the blinds were installed the workmen had filthy hands and left dirty marks all over blinds. Rather than cleaning up after themselves we were told to just leave them out in the rain. Wow, how professional.
• We would say the workmen were inept, but at least they responded to phone calls. When we tried to contact the Manager to try and resolve the many issues, he either avoided our emails or phone calls all together or responded angrily to our very restrained communications.
• No instructions were provided for the operation of the electric blinds, no details about the motor, NONE of the official documentation was provided.

Easy Blinds describe themselves as providing a ‘premium product'. What a joke. In good conscience no professional business would take your money for such terrible work and such an inferior product.

Watch out for payment terms – final payment was on delivery not satisfactory installation. So yes the blinds were delivered, but they are absolutely terrible.

Why didn't we persist until the problems were resolved you ask? After everything I've listed above would you trust Easy Blinds to do ANYTHING professionally?

We are now in the position of having to find a professional outfit to correct the absolutely terrible job done by Easy Blinds.

Do yourself a favour, pay just a little more and get a professional job you won't regret.

I contracted Easy Blinds to supply and install some retractable awnings for my cafe in Melbourne. They even organised all the printing requirements as my blinds were being personalised so that we could enhance our appearance and hopefully attract new customers. They look stunning and everyone has commented on the 'new look'. I would recommend Easy Blinds and Curtains for any business or individual needing a vast choice when looking for blinds etc. They were a huge help - thanks to Jeff (the rep) who guided me on a few things. The installation was smooth and professional - thanks Damon and co. All in all - a great experience. Thanks again guys!!
