The garage door on our brand new apartment building was supplied and fitted by this company and has not stopped breaking down (at least 8 occasions in a little over 12 months) since it was installed. They have failed to repair it under warranty, and failed to repair it properly at all. As such it continues to break down regularly, at times locking everyone's cars in, or out of the building or leaving the building accessible from the street for days at a time. The body corporate has had to pay for security to remain at the building until they eventually show up to "repair" it. They've refused to pay for the extra security and have also told us that if we get another company in to undertake the repairs it would void our warranty. We had the door inspected by an engineer who advised us that this is a commercial door designed for up to eight operations a day and that we needed a domestic door that could handle up to 300 operations a day. This is either a case of inconceivable incompetence or deliberate dishonesty. Perhaps both.

I have had a half complete roller door system in place for 2 weeks. The work that has been complete is of a good quality, but after delivering a door that did not fit the opening I have heard nothing from the office on when this can be rectified. While I understand that the office is closed over Christmas, I have no way of knowing when the office opens again. The lack of communication has been very stressful.

We visited the Eco Garage Doors showroom where their knowledgeable rep showed us the pro’s and con’s of each of the door types, then helped us select the finish types and the best style of windows in the door to suit our house, and then helped us with colour and accessories.
We had a custom colour ( a specific dulux white) and they arranged for us to check a painted sample to ensure it was correct.
The install was arranged within our timelines which put a bit of pressure on Eco but they were able to help us out.
Their installer was helpful and explained what he was doing and cleaned up after himself.
We are delighted with our new thermal panel door. It looks sensational.
We highly recommend Eco. They were one of the most helpful of all our trades on our new home build.

I cannot tell you how disappointed I am with both our Eco Garage Door, and their customer service.
We recently moved into a house we bought and within a few weeks we were having issues with the garage door. We had cables jumping out of the tracks which was causing the door to not close properly.
I called Eco head office to try to arrange a service on the door. The lady I spoke to was quite helpful and offered to look up our address to see when it was installed and if it was still under warranty. We discovered it was installed in September 2015 and by March 2017 was out of warranty. Too bad, so sad was her philosophy. She then said she’d pass my details to a technician who would be in touch within 48 hours to arrange a time. That came and went. Another follow up call which also failed to organise a service. Given it was out of warranty (by 6 months) they didn’t want to know about it.
We have since organised an independent repair person to come and service the door. He laughed when he saw the install and said that Eco use contractors to install their doors and that this one was done really badly. He explained that the way the tracks were installed, the door was constantly having to jolt which is what was the cause most of the problems.
After he serviced, we got 2 weeks out of it before it happened again. Our repairman came out (free of charge) and again tweaked something. Within a week it was happening again and this time could not be repaired. We’re now left with an unusable door (therefore unusable garage) whilst we wait to purchase a new one.
And in all this time, we have still not heard from an Eco service technician!
I cannot tell you how extremely disappointed I am with both the product and the so called after sales service offer by Eco. For a garage door to need to replaced within 18 months is absurd, and it’s even more absurd that the company whose name is on the door, do not care about it!

We didn’t receive the lowest quotation with this company, however, the quality of the Eco Garage doors are very good. The colour selection for the doors at that price range is excellent. We would definitely recommend anyone to go with this company. They're friendly and quick!
