$40k. We were asked for final payment before the work was complete after
having raised concerns with drummy tiles, overall quality of work and the
reasons why the work was taking considerably longer than it should have.
This was most probably due to the fact that he spent at least 2 hrs a day on
the phone managing his own personal sporting commitments instead of
working. Grouting was poor and was flaking away almost immediately. In
relation to the drummy tiles, they refused to correct and we have
since had to employ a second contractor to attempt to rectify the quality
problems. This has already cost us significant additional funds, and we
continue to have problems, it's drummy tiles to this day. Multiple
independent contractors have all commented on how bad this job is. To add
insult to injury, we were invoiced for GST when they were not registered
for GST and actually invoicing under a family members ABN and license?
