My friends and I had to break the lease on the property that we unfortunately rented (which we made the mistake of doing based on an inspection of about 10 minutes during a time when we were a bit desperate for a place). A horrible experience, and because of a medical condition (which was aggravated by circumstances relating to the property) one of my friends had a terrible time while there. We tried to get clemency from Edwards Windsor to let us out of the lease early (as breaking the lease was going to be very stressful for all of us, but they were uninterested in hearing about the situation and unwilling to take it seriously. Although some landlords and agents do sometimes let tenants out of fixed-term leases early on humanitarian/medical grounds, Edwards Windsor were completely insensitive to this, which made all our lives unnecessarily difficult. The property advertising that induced us to take the place was not entirely accurate, (possibly because they didn`t bother to get familiar with what the property is like to be in for extended periods) and Edwards Windsor`s condition report was one they had made years ago and just photocopied the original without updating it for new tenants (items listed were simply not there, and there was extensive dirt and damage where the report claimed everything was `clean and undamaged`). Perhaps we just had a particularly bad agent.
