After my regular and favourite hairdresser closed down, I searched far and wide on the Internet to find a place for my next haircut. And I came across Emad Mens Hairdresser that are not only recommended but are also of great value. One good thing about this place is that they do not take reservation (or is it a bad thing?) In both occasions that I came, there were two staffs who served the customers and the turnover was pretty quick. The place has a spacious, blank-canvas feel to it. No noisy artworks, just straight-up hair cutting. The process itself feels a little like barbershop with no hair washing but plenty of cold water spray on your hair, which will definitely wake you up from any state you were in. I was looking forward to getting quite a stylish cut as per the picture I showed to the person who cut my hair, but it ended up quite different although it was still acceptable. There were also some occasional discomforts as he kept combing my ears, and for one time the hot air from the dryer went straight to my scalp (which he later apologised from). The other staff, which I believe might be the owner, was very friendly. I might give him a try next time and perhaps I would end up with a better haircut. They also has member card so you can get your 10th haircut free.

Fast. Efficient. Skilled. Friendly. And at $30 for a men's cut, very reasonable (considering most of the places around here were asking $50-$90). Highly recommend Emad.

Emads is a tiny hole in the wall, just off Bourke Street in Surry Hills that is run by a guy called Emad and one other male hairdresser. You can turn up without an appointment, you usually dont have to wait very long, if at all and you will always be greeted with a friendly and warm reception. Emads is a no fuss solution with all of the expertise of a normal hairdresser. A mens cut usually takes about 20 minutes and I always walk out happier than when I have had a cut from other hairdressers and have paid up to $70. A standard mens cut will set you back at $30 and you wont be sitting around for an hour. If you are really stretched for time you can always give them a call to organise an appointment and they will prioritise you. There is also 1 hour free parking if you enter where Woolworths is. I highly recommend you give them a try.

Apart from being great value for money Emad works with you to get the best result and has a lot of passion and enthusiasm for his work. I have had colour and cuts in the past and have always been happy.

Emad is the sole hairdresser at this tight little shop and you can be sure to be greeted warmly with low waiting times! He knows how to style men's hair exceptionaly well and there is no booking required. Prices are more than reasonable, even for the struggling student. Great location and easy to find, I deffinately reccommend!

Great find - here in the middle of Surry Hills is a men's hairdresser that is exceptional value for money yet with a careful eye to detail. Emad's ever the professional, as well as friendly and engaging, and is rapidly gaining a loyal following from what I can see. I've been 10 times now and intend to keep going.

I can't belive there is a great mens hairdresser in Surry Hills who charges $25! Excellent walk in service and one of the best haircuts I've had this year for only 1/2 the price of regualr places in the area. Would definitely recommend! Cheers Patrick
