My recent printer a Canon old one bout 8 years recently died so I was looking on line at getting a new one was hoping to get the same brand as I had ink which didn't want to waste and some do quite a few makes
Dick Smith Jbhifi Big W are having sales at the moment I noticed
All the models I liked the look of had bad reviews and only one or 2 stars and lots of complaints bout them packing it in or not working or not being able to get Wi-Fi
So I went for a Epson we had one of these over 20 years ago when I was younger at home it was good It was also simular to price replacement to Canon ink wise
It came with ink but they are never full about 40% so I purchased Some more to be prepared you can set them up for a warning to say low on ink and it will tell you to replace ink you just have to give them a good shake and if its still not working try a head clean or alignment those settings can normally be adjusted and will use more ink if you have them set up to do them all the time
The newer model printers now come with a few ink cartridges so instead of replacing a whole colour you may just replace a yellow pink blue or black
Keep your old usb cables as people were saying they didn't get one with there one and some didn't have a paper tray holder so check box features get Wi-Fi and usb as not all areas get Wi-Fi and if you just get the one you cant use it
If you just work out what features are more important to you e.g. if you if you want the best picture and you don't care about the cost of ink then you can rule out brands
Set up to always automatic download and update latest drivers for the one you get it will fix any problems and update the printer
