Dissapointed.

Although the food was above average, not really up to the hype of some of these reviews.
Staff were friendly but having them wearing ties and aprons does not make you an upmarket eatery.
Unlike what your site is trying to portray, this is more like a place to have a feed with your mates before hitting the town than a place to come for a romantic dinner. Also it is an extremely noisy venue, so much that could not even converse with the waiter. Little disappointed as according to what I saw and read, this place does not live up to the hype.

Food is incredible - the customer service is incredibly RUDE! We had a table of 5. Our waiter was fine it just some other guy that helped out - not really sure who he was he greeted us at the door and the whole night of any interaction he was gobsmackingly rude and management should know he is bad for business. Tip for you buddy - find another career path!

My father had booked a table for 6 adults,2 kids on a friday night at 8pm. The first upset of the night was that they had double booked our table so we got squished into a tiny booth that they moved 3 ladies off and put them somewhere else.

We then waited till 8:30pm to get a menu and offer of drinks. Our entrees arrived at 9:30pm and the meals were ok but by that stage anything would have tasted excellent. Our mains at 10:15pm and no offers of more drinks for the rest of the night. A few of us really wanted to try the Bombe Alaska dessert and were told they would bring us dessert in 5 minutes because they were sorry for the extreme waiting times for dinner. However that came in another 20 minutes and they didn't take our coffee orders at the same time, they took our coffee orders after we finished eating our dessert and we had had enough by then.

The food was ok but nothing special and even if the service was excellent I wouldn't go back here ever again!!

Herb crusted lamb spring loin, with a wagyu petivier and rosemary sauce was delicious for $39 which perhaps was a tad expensive. The food is delicious and presented in a professional manner. Over all a good place to eat just a tad dear.

Unfortunately our experience wasn't a WOW factor. We booked for mother's day and specifically requested to be seated downstairs. I rang on the day and confirmed again. However we were seated upstairs in the private dining, which was more like a board room with padded walls and the large window overlooked a commercial garage door which was active most of the night. Our food was disappointing - beef was undercooked, pasta was cold and the waiter didn't really seem to remember who ordered what...hopeless. We waited nearly 2 hours for our meals and were ravenous. We were offered 2 rounds of bread but by that stage we'd all had enough. I did complain to the manager - he wasn't accommodating at all, a real arrogant loser! Finally the last straw for us was being overcharged by $100 - we won't be going back again. Definitely 2 thumbs down. Cross the road and go to Jack's Satay instead - you won't be disappointed there.

Escargrill has been a favorite of my family for some time now. The service is exceptional and Domenic and his team are welcoming yet professional. Everyone is made to feel valued and like a special guest. The oysters are the freshest in town and the steak is superb. Leave room for desert and if there is Panna Cotta on the specials menu....go for it. Sarah

Impressed. Not just the food which is superb, but the people that work there. Very well dressed, hip, waiters/waitress. Very well trained and paying attention to the smallest detail. This tells me that they take alot of pride in their work. Dominic the host always makes you feel very very welcome and it's like coming back to home all the time. Quality of good is always very very consistent you can't go wrong this this. Seafood platter one of the best and I think way way under priced. Wagyu steak superb and the Trio Chocolate desert to die for. Good wine selection.

The service was impeccable and the food, the best by far. Beautifully set out restaurant with friendly and knowledgable staff. Fantastic food and wine, with that little extra something to take away your breath.

Have dined here several times and the food is great the service is implacable.
You are greeted at the door by Dominic and he always remember your names where you like to sit, he comes and makes sure during the night that everything is OK and that you are happy with everything at the end of the night glasses of port comes to your table and you are escorted out with a kiss.
