Esteem did a wonderful job renovating my bathrooms, laundry, interior painting and replace old flooring with new. Their quote was competitive, they maintained good communication throughout, worked through challenges and were open to discuss any issues. We had a dedicated WhatsApp chat group where we could get updates, leave questions and get quick answers, share pics etc. Overall I had a positive experience with Esteem and would recommend them to my friends and family.

We had a very smooth experience with our renovation this year with Esteem.
We had planned to redo our entire extention which consisted of a living space, dining, kitchen, 1 bedroom and bathroom. The project also involved structural changes to increase the roof height and a raked ceiling.
Once we drafted our plans and got the approval, Esteem took over. They could identify a few issues with the plans which were sorted upfront.
The pace at which Esteem was able to co-ordinate the trades working in tandem resulted in our project being delivered well before their committed time lines. This, despite a few unexpected challenges that came up in the course of the project which were all handled.

This review is not made out of spite, but rather by an extremely dissatisfied client who aims to provide constructive criticism so “Esteem” Constructions does not repeat the same actions that led to my thoroughly disappointing ordeal.

Before I detail my distressing experience, I would like to preface that I have now had to pursue this matter with NSW Fair Trading and HIA to resolve the numerous defects that they falsely promised to rectify, but have thus far failed to do so.

Almost 3 months without a kitchen instead of the promised 1 month, numerous “sub-contractors” would quite frequently either; turn up UNANNOUNCED, turn up LATE, or not turn up AT ALL! This can be verified by the text-messages that I have kept thorough record of.

And after all of that, I can truly say that the quality of the work completed is just honestly in my opinion NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! Esteem Construction does not have a showroom for their kitchens, so the poor quality of the kitchen I got, is unfortunately what I am stuck with considering the exorbitant price I have paid.

Aside from the many defects in the “completed” work, the Esteem Construction team broke 2 colonial windows within my home, but have only partially repaired 1 of them. In addition, the Esteem Construction team has also chipped/cracked 2 brand-new, expensive floor tiles which they promised to replace but have now refused to do so. The Esteem Construction team also damaged my previously, perfectly functional blinds. They promised to inspect the damages, but have yet again, FAILED TO KEEP THEIR PROMISES!

On top of this, there is still a list of other defects that Esteem Constructions refuses to acknowledge and take ownership for, which I consider to be HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Expansive proof can be provided for all of this as well.

I have had a few renovations on other properties done by other companies in the past, but this experience has by far been the worst; not only in the poor quality of the “completed work” but also how I have been mistreated as a client.

I hope my feedback helps Esteem Constructions reflect upon and improve their services in the future, as I regret using them after the disappointing ordeal that I have endured.

I engaged Esteem to do a full bathroom renovation, gyprock 4 brick walls, replace carpet with timber floor boards in the lounge dining and kitchen in our investment property, and it had to be done within a very strict time frame. Sidhu and his team did an amazing job on everything, Sidhu was very professional, kept me informed at all times, and if something had to be changed for any valid reason he spoke with me first. His tradies were all professional, the workmanship was excellent and precise, they were always on time, and were very polite and friendly at all times and the works were completed on time. As a now retired civil & structural Engineer with 55 yrs experience I found the workmanship by Esteem carpenter to be of a very high tradesman capability. I saw the entire operation and was impressed with accuracy of set-out and measurements, frame construction including finishing of gybrock, plastering and cleanliness during construction. The carpenter and company management were pleasant to deal with and will use them again for my next investment renovation. 9 out of 10.

After figuring out that Sidhu was around to provide a Builder's quote, and not just a painting one (although he is capable of that), I can say that I am quite happy with the renos. We had an existing bar in the lounge room demolished, and new pantry made. This required brickwork, carpentry, electrical work, painting and carpetry. When the inevitable renovating hiccups occurred, Sidhu was thorough and quick to problem-solve any issues that developed. He is more than happy to listen to your concerns, and will come up with suggestions if required. I would be happy to work with Esteem building and Sidhu again.

Very professional company. Its hard to find such company in renovation domain. Got them to renovate my kitchen and they did a fantastic job and delivered it ontime. Their quotes were better than the other quotes I received for the job. I did some minor modifications in the middle of the job and they didn’t mind. They communicated with me the extra cost for the modification and I okayed it. I had earlier done a similar renovation job for my granny flat with another company and was so disappointed with their quality and approach. But these guys are good. I am already talking to them about doing a deck in the alfresco area. Very happy and will definitely recommend
