Event Cinemas

Just arrived al Timbuktu cinemas got a drink to have while waiting for the movie, sat at a table and it was sticky even though it had a sign saying cleaned and ready for you! Went to the hostess asked for a wet cloth to wipe the table (you’d think she would come and wiped the table ) but no she gave me a cloth and it was as sticky as the table. I moved to another table , it to was sticky . Absolute disgrace, with the extra cleaning that is meant to be done atm and they don’t care in the slightest, will never go back

Went to see '2 Guns' at the Events Toombul Cinema the other night. I usually go during the week and use my discounted vouchers as the normal price is too high. On this afternoon I presented my voucher but the young usher told me to keep the voucher because the movie I wanted to see was actually on special and cheaper and I should save my ticket for another time. This has not happened at any other cinemas, and I go weekly, it was a nice surprise to have this usher be so thoughtful as to save me money and encourage me to come again. They have also recently started allocating seating (something that a lot of cinemas are doing but which I find quite frustrating as I have particular areas I like to sit in), but he told me that even though the ticket has printed out a seat for me, there were only about 20 people in there so I could still find a seat I would be comfortable in. This caring person was a great example of what friendly and helpful customer service is all about. So glad that Events Toombul is back again.

This place has been refurbished since my last visit with wide open spaces and a streamlined snackshop where you buy snacks and a movie ticket all at the one cashier which leads you directly out and into a movie theatre. No need for a second checkpoint with ushers...just collect your goodies and you're on your way through. I like how it is not too busy and it's neatly tucked away in the rear of the building - a straight walk in from the carpark. Next to Sizzler and McDonalds if you're needing a meal too. Sizzler does combined movie meal deals too. This will be our go-to cinema from now on.
