This place is really busy on the weekends (we arrived at 845am and the place was almost full!). There is good reason why it is busy - the food is fantastic and the coffee is great. The cafe is light and airy. There are high chairs for kiddies. Staff are friendly and service is relatively fast (though we had to wait quite a while for our coffees to go as they were starting to get busy again.

Approximate cost: $52 for two breakfasts, 4 coffees and 1 malt milkshake

Great to here about a good cafe in Ashfield, my impression has been they are few and far between. Will check this one out.

This quirky and hip eatery is located nr the residential area of Queen Street. It does get quite busy on weekends but we try and come early for seating and order the bacon and egg sandwich! Love the crust bread it's served on , creamy aioli and love the fact the egg oozes when you bite into it.

The staff are friendly here as well but you do need to factor in food may take awhile to arrive to your table, but can be expected considering how busy it can be here.

Approximate cost: $10 +

The lovely small family business provide excellent coffee and breakfast and lunch. I love this place! I've been there a few times and never been disappointed. I like their latte but my kid like their cheeseburger with fried smashed potatoes.
