We came across this stand at the Carrara Markets and even though we have seen them or something similar in other places, this stand caught my eye. On display were long lengths of colourful sweets. It was not until I got closer when I realised that most of it was coated licorice. Some were sweet and some were sour in a range of about 40 flavours. The chap behind the counter was really friendly and chatted with us for quite some time and gave us a few tastes. The sour flavours were just enough to suck the cheeks in a bit with out being too over bearing, the sweet ones were, well, just sweet but for one who likes sweet stuff, is great. They also stocked the standard black licorice in various styles. Good far a visit and a taste. The price was quite reasonable as well.
