If you're looking for affordable fresh fruit and veges in West Ballina then check out Farmer Charlie's in the Keys Shopping Centre. They also carry a good selection of groceries, bread ($1.29 for a generic loaf), milk ($1.99 for generic 2 litre), groceries, and small goods.
The shop isn't ultra-modern, but the friendly staff and low prices more than make up for it.
