I used this salon for my bridal party at my wedding.
Not a good experience. I was charged more than quoted and none of us were happy with our hair. I paid for a trial then on the day my hair was styled totally incorrectly. I wasn't allowed to look at it and was scolded when I asked my bridesmaid to show me the back. I was very late getting out of the salon and had no time to ask for the style to be amended to be closer to what I wanted. Then the hair dresser told my mother in-law that I shouldn't have done my hair in that style that it didn't look good. Do yourself a favour, pick another salon.

My experience with Figure Head Hair Salon was yet again amazing! There is never anyone who writes reviews about the good in people & businesses. Only the bad. So here is my insight of Karla & Amie! I have been to this salon many times. I travel from places all over Austalia & also from the Caribbean to have my hair done here by these amazing girls! It's not compliments I am giving these lovely ladies, it is an affirmation of their confidence, professionalism, skills & education in hairdressing. I recommend this salon to all of my friends and family! Absolutely amazing experience every time!

Extremely disappointed with my Figure Head experience. It turned out to be a very expensive mistake! The staffs who work there are absolutely lovely, but unfortunately they do not know how to deal with an unsatisfied customer. I got a half head of (what was supposed to be) blonde foils, which turned out to be brown because they over toned my hair. The management stripped the toner because it was so dark. After doing this management seemed very concerned, and had to go and get one of the staff members of the team to 'come and have a look at what's going on because it shouldn't look like this'. It does not fill a customer with confidence when the management doesn't know why something has happened. Management then proceeded to make me feel like it was my fault because apparently my hair is "too porous". The management knew when I left the salon that I was pretty upset about it, but told me the colour would get lighter the more I wash it. Management said to give them a call after I'd washed it a few times if I still wasn't happy with it. A week later my hair had orange and brassy coloured tones through it, so I did call them back. I spoke to a staff who was apologetic and said would speak with the management and get back to me. A week and a half later and I still waiting for the return call, so I rang once again and spoke to the management. All the management said was they never get any complaints about their colours and they don't understand? I don't understand either, but it happened. A very unsatisfactory response and no resolution at all- just a very disappointed customer who will not be returning.

Amazing service and beautiful location. Have been going to Figure Head for three years now and am always pleased with the outcome. Top notch products and very professional staff. Thank you!

Yet another amazing weekend in airlie thanks to the talented and friendly team at figureheads!!always an amazing time in this salon and walk out feeling like a million dollars!!!

I was recently visiting Airlie and had a cut and colour done at this hairdressers. I also had some foils. My hair is medium length . I was pleased with the outcome however I was charged $250.00 for the service . I normally pay my regular hairdresser $80.00 for exactly the same service.

The team at Figure Head are extremely professional, yet fun at the same time. The glass of sav blanc served on friday afternoons always tops off the awesome work I have on my hair! I am there every 6 weeks and it's always an absolute laugh every time! The vibe, top of the range products and professionalism as standard makes visiting Figure Head Hair Salon a no-brainer! Always have and still do recommend these girls to everyone I know locally and also visiting. Thank you!

I could have achieved a better result by doing it myself. Asked for a very simple haircut. Back straight and from front to back a slight graduation. But this hairdresser had not the slightest idea how to do a graduation and thats how it looked like - chopped through. Went to another hairdresser to get it fixed.
