Popped in for a drink and a bite after dropping in to VCAT.
Not being a coffee drinker, I asked what one might try in this situation. The lovely barista poured me a cup of Guatemalan coffee to try, which was actually really enjoyable.
I ended up getting the homemade lemonade, and one of the nicest hot chocolates I've ever had.
Food wise, we had the chicken roll, and lentil salad- so fresh and full of flavour.
I will definitely be returning when in the area again.

This place was just opened up the guys who run Auction Rooms in North Melbourne. Sitting unassumingly at the bottom of a huge building, once you get past the heavy door the place is a site to behold with it's unique bar and bright lights.

Filter not only has espro press available but a menu that will make your jaw drop. The pre-brewed option is great if you are in a rush. If you have the time, make sure you explore the full menu of coffee and settle in to experience the finest freshly brewed filter in Melbourne.

The bottom end of town just keeps getting better and better. First off, the coffee is reliably good, full flavoured, refined, perfectly brewed everytime. But it is the food that really impresses. They have smørrebrøds - the large open danish rye breads topped with gourmet fillings such as pickled herring, cheese, local pâté, cured duck, fresh figs, broccolini etc. The options change over regularly to adjust for what is in season. Great lunch option that is filling, healthy and good value.
