Bought house through FW...too many assurances not lived up to, final inspection rushed through, with vendors & Agent all with urgent places they needed to be. What a charade & we now know it was to minimise the likelihood of uncovering the myriad of defects that later became only too evident from day 1.
The house was left in v poor condition with no upkeep since contract...so insist on clause in contract (prepared by Agent) to include a complete 'Bond- style' clean, & add appropriate garden upkeep.
Subsequent platitudes were all political-speak.
Yep word will get around, I'm sure you will want an easy trouble free step into your new home ... be aware.
