Excellent business. Always quick to serve me and to take my order. Reasonable priced food that is always superbly cooked. Never had a bad meal there. Would reccomend this store!

Came in at 11.30am and was rudely told they were not open for another 30 minutes. When i then questioned why the trading hours written on the door say that it opens at 11am every day, the guy working there huffed, turned around and walked off. If you don't want to open at 11am, change your advertised trading hours and while your at it give your staff a customer service lesson.

Really tasty fish and chips and great service. The batter on the fish fillet I had was crunchy and tasty (despite a 20 minute ride home in the car) and the chips were that perfect combination of crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Service is friendly and efficient. I will have to go back to try more items on the menu.

The food is great BUT I had an issue where I forgot to pick up my order I informed them and I had a lady serve me once I brought it up she got so defensive and rude, basically calling me a liar which I did not appreciate. Other than that they are ok

As a local resident, Flakey Jakes is my favourite fish & chip shop around. It's always clean & doesn't have that greasy atmosphere a lot of fish & chip shops have when you walk in. They're always quick to serve you and I've never experienced a negative encounter or a grumpy face when doing so. The food is great. Their burgers are tasty without feeling fatty and are value, their chips are cooked to perfection, their deep fried mars bar is the first one I ever tried & I loved it, and their potato cakes are the best. The fish is cooked very well - although it's a little pricey for the size (the whiting in particular). They have a good lunch deal special as well. I go there on Good Friday and even when it's packed, they don't make you feel like you're an annoyance.

Crispy fish & chips, amazing vinegar. Best jam doughnuts, not the cheapest in the area but in my top three give it a try the fish is amazing

Never had a problem with this fish and chip shop, good quality food and service.

Good variety of food with some budget friendly packs.
