Fish seems fresh, tasty and cooked so that it almost melts in your mouth. Chips are tasty too. Very fast service. the flake is the best I've ever had.

Havnt been to this place for quite a long time....i think its under new management but i see the same indian guy who used to work there for quite a long time....been there on sunday and asusual the place is packed with customers. the new owners tried to keep the old staff and thats a good smart move. because its a place that runs by staff completely...they are quick, good, happy faced all the time. i know its a bit greasy when its busy but go there on weekday evenings to have food...truly amazing food and service. but when its busy its busy. i would definitely go back again....

Staff were so friendly and singing to themselves while they cooked your meal, I felt like buying more food just to listen to them! Lady was lovely and chatted to my little children and brought them glasses of water.

They have healthy options like salad, cholesterol free oil, vegetarian options such as vege dim sims, soybean cakes etc. Great package deal foods, they have a vast array of $7 packs - for example fish pack has 4 fish bites and 1/2 scoup chips and you can get mixed or vegie packs. They have dinner packs for 1, 2, 3 or family dinners to help with the costs.

Perfect setting just opposite the Brighton Baths, what more could you want from a fish and chip shop?

Flatheads is my favourite fish shop because they also offer some very healthy choices at great prices, I pick up a grilled whiting and salad for only $10. The fish and salad is always fresh and the serving size very generous. The owner is very knowledgeable on his fish I think he said he spent many years as a fisherman so you always know that your getting quality

let me tell u one thing guys,........if u are at the brighton beach u should definitely go to the flatheads......love the place for the food they serve, love the place for the economical pricing.......love the place for the crew that work there....and love the place for the view............ dont miss the sunset guys....by far the best fish and chips i can say...i will be goin there forever...flatheads....u rock...

Order: 2 pieces fish, 3 calamari rings, 2 dims sims and 3 potato cakes, regular Greek salad and chips came to $34.00. Over priced for one standard box. Salad appeared to be old as lettuce was consistency of seaweed, slimy and so over dressed it was like salad in soup.

Calamari is the worst I have ever had. It is not actual calamari, but reconstituted 'seafood' and possibly some starch filler. Horrible.

Fish was standard, chips a little pale.

Overall disappointing. Many others are far better quality at better value. Will not return.
