My experience with Flawless makeup Artistry-
When I booked Charissa to do my wedding makeup she asked me for $80 deposit and informed the 'Deposits are non-refundable due to possible loss of business' I accepted this term and condition and paid the $80 deposit. After a month or two Charissa gave me the option to pay the outstanding $325 (not notifying me and any other term and condition)
As this was more convenient I paid Charissa the $325 so I didn't have to deal with money the day of my wedding.
About a month before my wedding Charissa had forgotten I had paid her the $325 and gave me the option again (still not informing me of any other terms and conditions) I told her I had already paid and showed her proof which she accepted.
2 days before my wedding something unbelievably devastating happened, my partner was airlifted to Hospital after suffering burns to his face and hands.. Obviously we had to contact everyone as the wedding could not go ahead. Charissa informed me that she would not be refunding any of my money telling me "how is it fair that I lose business because of you" she then informed me that she has a policy on her website somewhere stating that any money paid will be non-refundable (which she did NOT tell me about when asking for the outstanding balance)
Only after telling her I was calling Fair Trading did Charissa offer me $200 but no more. I had the option to take Charissa to the tribunal but I didn't have the strength or time to do so.
I am sharing my story because I don't want anyone else to lose their money, money Charissa is NOT entitled to!
I understand deposits are non refundable and that's completely fair but not the whole amount! If I wasn't so organised and decided to pay on the day she would have never of had that $325
If she gives you the option to pay prior to the day, say NO!
Considering the circumstances surrounding my cancellation of her services, Charissa acted so heartless and horrible! I would not recommend her to anyone!!
