I went there with my Mum for lunch on Sunday afternoon 2nd April 2023 and I had a Blue Grenadier plus a Spring Roll to the home and my Mum had a Flake and Vere had a flake as well. We got minimum chips but we didn't enjoy it because the Fish terrible and the Chips were cold and soggy also the Spring Roll tasted terrible so I definitely would recommend going to Torquay Fish and Chips because their Fish and Chips are cooked to perfection.

Tried flipping fresh for the 1st time on the 7th Jan.
Made a phone order for 4 people. Which included 4 pieces of fish. When l picked up and paid for order drove back to where we were staying, only to discover that we were only supplied 2 pieces of fish. Tried ringing, but got recorded message that not taking phone orders 1p mins before closing.
l had just 10 mins to get back to shop.
When l went back to complain, l was to find out that they only had 2 fish on order.
Then had to wait, 10 mins while the extra fish was cooked.
Received no Apology.
By the time l got back home the original order had cooled off.
Destroying what would have been a good meal.
Wrote a letter to the Manager this morning explaining my complaint,
then signed with name and phone number, but never received a
phone call from the business today at all to acknowledge my
complaint.

Monday 9th January.
Was happy to recieve a phone call this morning from proprietor, offering his apology and a full refund.
Was happy for the refund, but was also glad that he did ring.
Would gladly go back again.

we stopped in here and i must say i was disappointed at the prices and the quantity of the food...the quality was okay but you didn't get very much for your moneys worth and the kids were still hungry and wanting more..they still had quite alt of customers though and the staff seemed friendly enough

The name says it all...flipping fresh! Great quality fresh fish all the time. Meals come in a box rather then wrapped in paper which is different but makes it easy to put together kids dinners so there's no fights! Cost is a little dearer than other shops near by but it's defiantly a good little treat on a rainy day

Friendly establishment, just your regular fish and chip shop but are well cooked and fresh. They also serve burgers or if you are feeling healthy they do grilled fish also. Good place to stop before the beach or ocean road.

these guys are stalwarts in Torquay and have been around for a while. There are a few fish and chip options, but these guys serve up the best. Nicely laid out shop floor with enough room for the seasonal rush. Chips are of good quality and ask for some chicken salt!
