Received a quote for floor refurbishment but no further contact after four weeks, left emails and tried to phone during that time and no response. I would not recommend this company.

I chose Floors By Powell to repair, sand and polish my existing timber floors. They provided the most expensive quote - about 50% higher - but Tony, the person who gave the quote seemed to know what he was talking about and assured me that the floors would be perfect. I guess I believed the marketing.
Unfortunately, my experience was all downhill as soon as I signed the contract to go ahead with the work. There were several weeks delay to starting my job and I was not kept informed about the start date or progress once it had started.
Tony did not actually do any of the work, instead sending some young guys / apprentices (?). It has been 3 weeks since they last sent someone to work on my floors and I am still waiting for the work to be completed.
I was sent the invoice today requesting full payment by COB today even though the job is still unfinished. On top of all this, the cost for the repair work doubled from the quoted amount.
To be fair, the work they have done is of a good standard. However, it is not perfect and not worth the significant additional cost. I would not use them again. Definitely NOT recommended.

I had my old pine floors redone by Floors by Powell and they have come up better than I thought. Great service & great job.
