Sophisticated and charming, yet retains a sense of warmth and personality in the service and surrounds.
Didn't leave a huge dent in my wallet either.
I liked how the dishes on the menu were classy, honored cooking traditions, yet managed to be inventive and interesting at the same time.
Ie. King Prawn Tostadas with guajillo chilli, avocado, tomato, chipotle aioli, on blue corn tortilla chips
Yellowfin Tuna Sashimi with jalapeno, toasted sesame, red onion & raw soy
Our mains were no less stunning. Wild barramundi fillets with roasted king brown mushrooms, buttery leeks, wilted rocket & balsamic.

We went to Fog for Christmas lunch, and we all agreed that it was one of our best Christmases ever! The food was delicious, the venue is lovely, but the main thing that made it such a great experience for us was the service we got from our waiter! He was so entertaining and happy, we will be happy to go back again!

A relaxed lunch, they were very helpful even though we had our 12 month old daughter with us and they are not a family restaurant. I think because they were quiet they were happy to accommodate us. Attentive service, and delicious food. Afterwards we forgot our credit card and they were really helpful saving it and returning it to us the next day. Will definitely be back again.

Great food - the staff and crowd is a bit pretentious, but if you can stand it, go for a bite to eat. The food is very good - there is an open patio out the back that is really great in the summer months.

There is something overtly off-putting being greeted by a bouncer to enter a restaurant. You almost feel your dress sense is being judged to enter a restaurant despite already having made a booking. The place is dark and loud once you get in. Don't expect an intimate dinner. More like a school hall examination. The waiters are the haute type and so try and make you feel like an inferior foodie at every chance. The place is pretentious, boring and loud. The food is good, but not great. My table all agreed its a real hit and miss affair. The worst mistake a restaurant can make is to fail to meet the expectations of the descriptions listed in the menu. They really describe dishes that the chef either can't handle or is simply misrepresented. Avoid the beef carpacio on the entree menu. A real let down. Avoid the banana desert. Avoid the mussels.

This is a really funky restaurant with a great atmosphere. It's not a cheap eat though - main meals between $30-$40 and wine quite expensive. Having said that though, the food we had was excellent. I had a salmon dish and my husband had steak - both of which were fantastic. The service was also excellent. Our water glasses were always filled the moment they were half empty.

Approximate cost: $30-40
