I saw Dr Ahmed Dulfiqar at MacIntosh Medical Centre in Forster last week. I've seen him for the past 3 years because he is always warm, friendly, kind and funny. He supported me on my weight loss journey which was highly effective. I lost 18kg. I found that weight loss efforts are more effective when you have to face someone you respect, whose opinion of you matters. Dr Ahmed is also highly proficient. Last week I went in to ask for a pathology request and while I was there I asked a question about vaccines for Mum. He quickly did research on different vaccines available and explained everything clearly. I was surprised to learn you can catch pneumonia, I thought you developed it. He printed the info out with a prescription and called the Forster Tuncurry Medical Centre to see if they have vaccines for those who qualify ie over 75. They did. Mum had her vaccination 2 days later for free. She's 82 with Alzheimers. She loves Dr Ahmed. She refers to him as "that lovely young man with the kind face and sparkly eyes".

Its hard to be happy going to the Dr but I love the online booking system

This is my preferred doctors' surgery in this town. It's very modern and attractively presented, there are decent number of doctors, they have a great waiting room and good range of magazines. It's also got a fenced-in outdoor swing set which is handy when you have to wait at all with kids. They also have a pleasantly decorated gated play area inside the surgery. I have had good experiences with at least four different doctors there including a very nice female doctor who you can entrust with your female troubles. I've been using this surgery for about seven years and can recommend it.
