Really delicious wood fired pizza . I wasn't even hungry didn't think I could eat much but devoured the whole pizza. I would definitely go back for the pizza. Nice place to sit and take in the scenery of Daylesford shops. They also do take away. The only negative for me is the front door is really grubby lots of finger prints and almost turned me off going inside. But the smell of the delicious food made up for it. Also they have lots of candles and a garbage bag which looks messy sitting in the open fire place . But overall good experience and would recommend. Staff are also friendly and helpful :)

I took my husband here for his 50th birthday, we didn't have a booking, but did ring to see if there was an available table at 6 for dinner latter in the evening. We dressed for Dinner when other's were in jean's, yet we were looked up and down?

I found them to be just a little snobbish when we got there. I didn't see there would have been a problem with the way I rang earlier but was told I should have booked ahead. I felt if there was no room, they could have said so and not have made us feel uncomfortable.

We did wait for while for the food to come, I didn't think there was much on the plate. We took pizza back to our unit when we left.

A busy cafe on the main street. Generous serving sizes and very good value, but food was a bit oily. Decor was OK but didn't seem very clean. Our table was still littered with some leftover tomato, the walls were dirty... no wonder flies were constantly buzzing around all through our meal.

Service in general was efficient though not overly warm or friendly, even at the beginning of our visit when the cafe wasn't that busy. One waitress in particular was abrupt in her manner, and began constantly dropping hints to make us leave quicker even before we had finished our meal.

In the middle of our visit, one of the staff members stood on the coffee serving counter near the cash register, wearing shoes, and tried to write the new menu with chalk on the wall near the ceiling. It was about noon, and the restaurant was pretty full. An alternative could be having a menu board somewhere, or using a step ladder, or something. Afterwards, they used the same countertop to make coffee for the customers. That's why we had our coffee somewhere else.

Overall it was an interesting experience, but I think I would try somewhere else next time.

Approximate cost: $Less than $20

A really nice cafe, lovely decor and ambience as well as great service and nice coffee. Seems to be a hub for Daylesford and is well worth a visit on the main street.

LAst time we were here was a very windy January day in 2011 We met with friends for coffee and desert and both were very good. Beikng January we expected service to be under pressure but they managed to get the order to us in reasonable time
