I ordered and paid for a product worth nearly $1000 in store at the Canberra DFO Fyshwick Store. I organised the delivery date when I paid for it (2 Weeks ago) and waited for the delivery to come (it never came). I tried to call the store, 3hours later (& 18 calls later) when someone bothered to answered the phone (I was told that they only have 3 staff on and that they never really get to answer the phone as they are serving and helping customers, well to bad if your already a customer). After speaking to someone I found out that my delivery had never been organised (even though I had paid and organised on the date of purchase. I was then told that I would then have to wait for another day for it to be delivered & it would be by 1300 and if I wasn't happy about that or if it wasn't convenient then they would give me a refund. 1300 came and went on the new organised day, and surprise!!! my product did not arrived again when it was stated it would arrive. So after another 1.5hrs (12 calls later) of trying to ring I decided to ring a Sydney Stores, on the 3rd store (2 stores didn't bother answering their phones either). I spoke to someone who was helpful (thank you Zoe) and she would talk to their manager and get in touch with the Canberra Store. I was called back and told that I was the problem, that no date was organised for delivery (despite having someone with me to verify that I had) and was rudely told that they had bent over backward for me to organise this new drop off (which had not arrived) and that they would refund me as this was all to much of a hassle now. I was then told that why did I not email this person than ring, I said because I know that emails are not always attended to straight away, this person then told me that this was not the case for this store and that I was being rude on questioning them. I was the one who had paid out money for a product and for a service that I had not received!!!!
I was done and asked for a refund because apparently the customer is always wrong. From the disgraceful accusations by this staff member at the Canberra store, the complete lack of Quality Customer Service, I will never purchase ANYTHING at ANY Freedom Furniture store ever again. They would rather give you a refund and wipe their hands of you despite their own store/company stuff ups than try to help resolve the issue and provide a service that their state that they offer. Don't bother wasting time with a company that obviously does not pride itself on helping people or on customer service.

We purchased a lounge through Peter M late last year. His customer service was amazing with a genuinely friendly personality. But unfortunately, that’s where the service ends.

Their logistics company UniTrans sent out our order to other people and wanted us to wait another 7 weeks for delivery, we could only get this information after trying to call them 20+ times, most of which resulted in being hung up while on hold. We refused to wait and attempted to get a refund from the store, that process has already taken nearly 2 months with no end in sight.

Don’t expect the managers of this store to have your best interest on their mind. This is even if you can get a hold of them over the phone as their staff don’t generally answer phones (19 out of 23 of my calls went to voicemail over the past 2 months). Never shopping from freedom again and will be actively discouraging others to do the same.

My daughter bought a king size bed from Fyshwick store, and not only was the delivery later than promised at the time of purchase, but when delivered, the boxes were just dumped in her bedroom and no madam, we do not put any furniture together, as my daughter burst into tears while holding her new baby, and trying to keep her toddler calm.
If this is freedom customer service, no thank you!

We have been setting up house and purchased two settees, ottoman and really lovely glasses. The service has always been friendly and very helpful, especially when paying a deposit for the settees and then finding them on special the staff then arranged for free delivery, a discount and store vouchure to compensate. The glasses were a brilliant price and really lovely. Overall a great experience.

Went to Freedom in DFO during their floor clearance sale. Saw a basket with a $10.95 sticker on it so I went to pay. However one of the cashiers was not friendly at all (tall, thin build and long straight hair). She immediately told the girl who was serving me that they will not sell this basket to me at this price as it is too cheap. It should not have been discounted without even checking on the system or the floor personnel. From a customer's point of view, I am not impressed at all with the service they provided as I have been to many other Freedom stores and bought furnitures as well. As a result of this incident, I will never visit that Freedom again.
