Thinking of having a lunch date with my friend at Fringebar since my colleagues had lunches delivered from them on Fridays. I suggested to one of my friend to meet him there on Thursday. We turned up without reservation. A waitress working on that day, was pouring beer to one customer when we asked about a table. She said she would've seated us shortly. We waited for a few minutes until new customers were coming in and lining up behind us. The waitress was gone so we decided to go somewhere else. My first impression was not that great :(

I still did not give up on checking them out though. So I arranged a lunch date with other friend. We turned up with reservation I'd made a day before. We arrived at 12pm as the other day. Surprisingly enough, the bar was nearly empty. Thus, we were directed to take any table we wished...Orders need to be made and paid right away at the bar. I decided for chicken parmigiana (originally with fries and salad) and my accompany ordered salmon penne. They accommodated my request of serving me with double-size salad instead of fries.

A young man from kitchen brought our meals in about 10 minutes which was great timing. The presentation of "waitering staff" from kitchen was not very impressive as his black clothing was a bit dirty...hopefully just from food.

Considering price and service you get here, they match. As you can have filling lunch from only $10 up to $15 in the house, you cannot expect outstanding food and service. It is basically average...you get, what you pay for. Definitely nothing fancy but can see myself going back there sometime again.
