Went there i on 19th Nov 12. my appointment time was for 10 30 am....there were alot of people in the waiting room (atleast 8 people). I had to wait for around half an hour. They took me in at 11 00 am. The lady at the counter Zoe was very pleasant. The dentist who attended to me was Dr George (the younger Dr. George. There are 2 Georges. The older one is the main dentist). I went there because the ceramic part of my crown had fallen off. The dentist checked and said that its not necessary to replace it urgently as the metal part is still covering it. The cost of putting a new crown he said would be 950 dollars. I found this price much reasonable compared to other dentists who I had called to check (where it was between 1500 - 3000 AUD). He did find a tooth which needed filling. So he took an xray and told me that it had most likely reached the nerve and i would have to eventually do a root canal. However since my insurance only covered basic dental, he temporarily cleaned it and filled it. It was painless as he had given me an anesthesia. I had to just give my insurance card at the counter and the entire payment was taken care of by my insurance company.

Overall a pleasant experience.

Just a note: I had taken my 1 year old son with me who was in a pram. There is a flight of around 20 steps to go up to the clinic. So it was a bit difficult to manage with the pram, baby bag and carrying my son up to reach the clinic. So if you're heading to the clinic with an infant, make sure you take another person along to help you carry ur stuff

I have been going to this Dentist forever. I was originally recommended by a friend and have never been sorry. George also has a surgery at Alexandra Hills, phone (07) 38242484, if you live this side of town it is much easier to get to than West End, however, in my opinion it would be better to go to West End than to another Dentist. Both surgery's are always busy so you do need to make an appointment. Very professional, quick and takes overall health into consideration. Very reasonable with charges.

I have been going to this dentist for 8 years - the business owner is George and he is brilliant. He is a bit old school (no gas!!!) but he is friendly and makes your visit very comfortable. Also, he does not charge the gap on your private health insurance when only getting checkups and cleans - he only charges if you need materials (eg fillings etc).
I thoroughly recommend this dentist - but he is popular so you need to book well in advance.
