Went in purchased two small items. Exited premises then went to a public space. Proceeded to eat and feed bits a little of left over remains of a pie to birds.

Then the young female manager/owner stalked out of the premise and harangued and pursued me with angry language about how dare I feed the birds. Don’t I see the signs? No I did not. On top of that I wasn’t in her premise.

She then proceeded to spay some type of cleaning fluids in my and my child’s direction and at the birds that were there. My child and I were sitting down and she approached about a meter in front of us!

I was sitting on a council bench with a young child not even able to talk who was gleefully giggling at the birds. Nothing else.

Poor manners poor service poor attitude and terrible behavior.

I got a loaf of bread from there and paid with my visa/debit card and was questioned as to why I didn’t have any cash. The lady behind the counter almost refused my business

It's rare to find an old school bakery like this, but I'm glad I did! Absolutely delicious pies, and loved the mini ginger bread man, sooo cute! I bought a frangipani flan to have with my mum and grandma for Mother's Day, and they loved it. Highly recommend :)

Approximate cost: $6

Garran Bakery sells a wide range of baked goods. Their lunch offerings are pretty basic, but very good value for money. Their takeaway coffee is a favourite with the local tradies, so you will want to get in early!
