Gelato Messina

The best gelato in Melbourne hands down. We visit here on a weekly basis and are never disappointed. The texture is silky, the flavours are amazing and they are constantly experimenting with new flavour combinations and specials. Our favourites are the mango, hazelnut, salted caramel and coffee.

Gelato Messina makes some of the best gelati in Melbourne. It is in a less edgy neighbourhood than the Fitzroy one and it is not as packed as the Windsor one so you can be served without waiting too long.

The first thing we noticed was how dark the venue actually was, it was very hard to see much in there. It actually made the ice cream cabinet & products inside stand out.
We got a scoop of the coffee, strawberry, cookie dough, salted caramel and apple crumble - All flavours were absolutely amazing, rich and strong in taste! The only downside is the price as a cup with two scoops is significantly more then most dessert parlours however you do get what you pay for.
They also have limited seating inside, it's more for takeaway but it would be good to have booths inside to allow for couples and groups to enjoy dessert together without being in the cold next to the curb.
