Cooking Incursions

Get Kids Cooking provides “portable” cooking classes, bringing our mobile kitchen to Primary schools, which link to the Curriculum. Our aim is to teach children age appropriate basic cooking skills that they will be able to replicate in the home with confidence. Furthermore the participation and family interaction that this will lead to has many social and health benefits. The classes are fun, engaging and hands on, allowing children to cook a dish from start to finish, where possible using school garden ingredients. Get Kids Cooking allows primary schools to offer cooking classes with no investment in capital infrastructure, no lesson planning by teachers, no equipment or long term commitment. Enquire to find out costings and more details for your schools.

After school classes and holiday programs

Get Kids Cooking run after school cooking classes for Year K-6 students. Our classes are hands on and fun! Children are taught about food handling and evening meal preparation with a wide variety of recipes and different skills and cultures learnt about each week – no need to pack afternoon tea on these days as all ingredients are provided so that students can enjoy what they create. We offer healthy and nutritious recipes, as well as “sometimes” foods, to foster and develop healthy eating habits. We also cater for any food allergies or intolerance’s.
