This little cake shop opened a year ago. I came across it recently. Amazing European Cakes, all made on the premises, fresh and incredibly tasty. The lovely owner, Said makes you welcome. Nice atmosphere, sitting by the window drinking coffee and eating one of the cakes and watching passing traffic. These cakes are definitely unique and reasonably priced. I loved the Esterhazy cake ( Hungarian walnut meringue cake, just divine!), the German Cherry Cake, the Hungarian Honey Cake. Going back for the others on offer: fantastic Vanilla slice, Bee sting cake. So many to try.
Said and his wife opened this shop to honour her grandparents memory, who had a similar shop in Transylvania. They named their shop after her grandfather, and they have a nice photo of the grandparents on the wall. They are using the family recepies, and other recepies from Germany, where Said spent more then a decade.
Definitely worth a try, you won't be disappointed.
