The Glow Worm Caves are quite educational, especially for children. The guide who took us through explained to us the life cycle of the Glow Worm and explained that the light they emmited was to attract other insects for food, The cavern consists of two chambers that have stalagmites, stalactites and water features. The cost per child is six dollars and adults 12 dollars. I would advise if you are visiting as a large group to book ahead. I enjoyed the experience as did my family.
Took the kids here for family day trip was a nice family day out and we spent a day out mt Tamborine and this a great addition to the trip
Meh not big on this place.
Went here again on a trip to Mount Tambourine for something to do with the kids. Seemed more interesting this time, tour was good, but there wasn't as many people as when we went once before. I think it is better off peak season.
Approximate cost: $10
It's really good isn't it
Not too bad, we were a little dissapointed and we were led to believe it would be a lot better! Overall it's mt tambourine and it's amazing
Went here with the family. Kids liked it. Learnt a lot about glow worms. Went to the frog section that we had to pay for and didn't find it too interesting. The small lake there is good to take pics of and the kids loved all the lizards walking around.
Great family day out took my grand children they enjoyed it and have been talking about it for weeks, the presentation was easy to understand and enjoyable
I liked the day out hear, I thought the cave was real prior to visiting was a little disappointed that it was man made, the frogs are a total waist of money should be included in cave price.
Man made cave for glow worms. The grounds are superb, lake ,lots of water dragons. interesting enough. Life cycle of a glow worm is fascinating and our guide shone hismred light on the little, buggers to show us the threads they make. About half an hour. Wouldn't do it again once was enough.
Approximate cost: $11
We took the family here a few weekends ago. The kids loved it, it is a little slow paced for the adults... gotta keep the kids happy though. Plus mummy got to go to winery afterwards so there is something for everyone ;) The caves are artificial is anyone is wondering. I now know more about glow worms than I ever needed to know lol. Wasn't fussed seeing the frogs, kids liked that majority of them were playing hide and seek.... I think they should be included in glow worm price...
Approximate cost: $10
I went here with friends, when we were on our road trip. We stopped by. It's really amazing. If you have kids, they would love to have a look at the glow worms. But, it can be a little on the chilly side, so it would be beneficial to bring along a light jumper or cardigan with you, and also closed in shoes, to protect your feet.
