We turned up in an industrial park to find a damaged van with a box of rotting fruit in the back. Drink cans strewn in the front and no car keys. Don’t go near them.

I took a photo of the fuel gauge when I picked up the vehicle. After my hire I filled up the tank and took another photo. The gauge was higher from my fill up. I did 122 kms and the tank took 23 litres. Twice what it should have. Obviously previous driver had underfilled. Gecko were not interested in doing anything about it.

I wouldn't recomend to my worst enemy.theres a reason such a "great idea"hasnt grown the way you might think it should.its probably because of the worst service l have ever come accross anywhere..they quick to take my money .did thier best to NOT provide a vehicle .and l only have a partial refund of the 280 they took.cost me another 80 in cab fares and justa great easte of time.

I hired a ute for 2 days, very easy process online. The automated process and instructions provided via email and website were very easy to follow. i encountered 1 slight glitch after accessing the car via the automated process, it would not start. solved by a quick call through to customer service who sorted the issue out remotely and i was away with no time wasted. vehicle was clean and in good condition. never had to wash my hire car before returning it but it wasn't really a problem - i guess it allows Gecko to provide low rates. overall very happy with the experience - no dramas, would go gecko again...

Straightforward process. Offered live over the phone assistance on a Sunday morning and an upgrade when my chosen vehicle was unavailable. Would use again.
