I always buy Godfather's (120gm at $7.99 or $8) there plus other meat. Saw some "Italian meatballs" there yesterday at $12.99/kg or 2kg for $20. After a discussion with the young bloke he told me that his family of 3 eat the 2kg so i went with that. He only put 1kg in the bag & i asked him what was going on. He then put 1.8kg in the bag (don't think this guy realised i was watching) & he then went to seal the bag. I suggested as it was closing time & there was 3 left he should try again so he did. The large godfather (400gm @ $15.99) & 2kg of meatballs @ $20 i somehow paid $39.25. I asked for the receipt & he gave me the eftpos slip and i said no, the receipt please. Instead of getting me to a minimum of 2kg he made it 2.324kg & charged it at $12.99/kg (clearly no bulk discount given) and charged the godfather at 16.00. The receipt / tax invoice came to $39.24 but then the theif put the transaction through on eftpos for more. I seriously don't trust people like this & think averyone should know all about them. I also think Backa Australia should know the type of people representing them. I'd rather drive elsewhere or online to get my godfathers.

I like to buy from a butcher, not the supermarkets - this place is our local butcher.
Hubby and I are not big purchasers anymore, but we are guardians for two gentlemen with a disability, and responsible for shopping for them also. So although hubby and I spend big on our few purchases, we also spend bigger for them.
Today was the last straw - will not buy from them again.
Today, for hubby and I, we paid 16.00 for two pieces rib fillet - smaller/thinner pieces at our request. 39.99 kg. Not cheap.
Cooked perfectly on bbq - medium rare -- sadly tough as and absolutely no taste - sad to say.
Previous, when shopping for our gentlemen, who on a pension, obviously - 10 chicken schnitzels for 10.00 - okay, you'd imagine 5 meals out of this?? Wrong - so so small, and I mean small - absolutely disgusted!!
And this was included in a purchase of near 100.00 of other meats - so not go back there for them anymore.
Another time -ybone steaks, and yes, I know cheaper cuts, but bought about 10, pounded out and marinated, inedible - did complain then and got replaced, but hello?? party/visitors over and not impressed either.
Sadly, one lost customer forever for a local tradie - if you going to charge what you do, you need to have top quality, and this is not happening .

i keep getting my meat from here every now and then cause it does look nice and i always am hoping that maybe i just got a not to good piece of meat the last time! but this is not the case. i wont be buying their meat anymore, am so disappointed. "Gold Medal" not this butchers! There is no great tasting cuts of meat i can brag about, everything is dissapointing. the Chicken Snitzels (thigh) are gristly & slimy under the crumbs and only get half eaten. The breast snitzels are just chunks of chicken breast, No nice seasoning in the crumbs, you might as well just cook up a chicken breast. The same goes for the Crumb chps, very expensive and you expect dear meat to be good, i think the chops they use must be old or mutton, and they beat them out thin! but the big bone is still there, lots of fat to! Not happy. i was in Bris on w end $ my sister cooked Chicken Snitzels from her butchers, Soooo Nice, am sick of paying for bad meat hidden in crumbs. I just bought T Bones from woolworths for $13 a kilo and Gold Medals were $29 a kilo.
