Service was good by the waitresses, but I think there may have been only one cook working and our table of 10 was served all at different times, some were finished there meal by the time others received theres. Prices are a little steep at lunch time , did not seem to be any special lunch time menu or pensioners lunch, although they did say you could order off the childrens menu, ( but you dont know then how small the serving is). Most meals seem to come out with a whole heap of lettuce leaves( and mine did not have any dressing on it) but the fish and chips themselves were nice.

I am a Golf House regular. Meals are good, bain marie vegies and salads are good...but you can tell the difference when there's a different cook working as the presentation is rarely the same and is sometimes poor. Service and organisation is ordinary. The staff are nice enough but are always too busy to 'service' their customers. I still rate Meaghan and Lorraine as their most professional waitresses. New menu is ok (even though some of the wording doesn't make sense!)...but as usual, limited vegetarian options and gluten free products are not identifiable.

Had dinner there on Monday night (8.6.2009). I enjoyed gummy shark with fresh salad and vegies from the salad/vegie bar. My partner enjoyed a steak, he said it was the best steak he has had in a long time! Meaghan was our waitress, she provided friendly service.

I took my family there about a month ago. Everything was great, food wine service, value for money. I again ventured there last week and to my surprise the prices have sky rocketed. There is no value there now. I don't think I'll Be returning. Sorry Golf House Hotel You Have Lost me.

Approximate cost: $25.00

They haven't had a new menu in months. I don't see how prices can skyrocket. Specials are available from $10 or $12

Took the wife and kids down for a quick meal. Enjoyed a Lamb souva and the wife enjoyed an open steak sandwich - the kids meals were generous and good value. The main meals were well presented and with the salad bar the variety of fresh salads and vegies was excellent. Certainly a big change from about 8 to 12 months ago.

Approximate cost: $10-$25

Good meals, nothing fancy but service is prompt and value is good. The place is neat and the atmosphere is good. They also have poker nights which I have only recently discovered (not sure of entry price and soforth).

Approximate cost: $17.50
