Gosford pool is great, recently my school has had their swimming carnival there. There's an olympic pool which only has seven lanes and a kiddies pool with a shade colth over it outside. And on the inside there is a 25m pool which is used for learning to swim and a heated pool.

The grandstand is really big, a bit of a squeeze though with everyone from school though. Overall great experience.

This pool is old but is still going strong - it gets plenty of visitors both for recreational and fitness purposes. Our children love going down to this pool to practice their 'lap swimming' and playing inbetween! The Olympic sized pool gets divided into lanes most days where there is a designated slow, medium and fast lane for those seriously wanting to do fitness laps. Sometimes when I do these laps they get so busy that it's unusual not to touch another swimmer atleast once during my visit. That's the only downfall with this pool, it just sometimes gets too busy - especially because there are other activities like squad training and school carnivals going on. Sometimes the whole olympic pool gets booked out (like for a school carnival) and you have to resort to the 25m heated pool which isn't very deep and gets too warm for lap swimming. For kids to learn and play in this pool is ideal. Check first before you go to make sure the pools are available for doing what you want to do - like lap swimming. If it's just to take the kiddies down for a swim, there is usually somewhere they can play that's been designated for them. I dare say Gosford needs another Olympic Pool. That would be great but until then we will continue to use this busy pool! The area is kept clean and tidy and in summer holidays the big blow-up slide comes out for the kids to use which is lots of fun and well worth it for the children. They love that! Prices are really affordable and good value. One cost to get in and you can stay and long or as little as you like. The staff are generally very polite and there is basic food available from the kiosk. There is also a snacks machine but this is really pricey as those machines usually are.

I like especially that's it's on the waterfront at Gosford which is a lovely view to look at when you sit in certain places near the end of the pool. I love that it's in the open air and isn't undercover - but they do have the heated undercover one and also a 'quiet pool' for disabled and another small pool too undercover in the heated section. Out, next to the Olympic pool is a mini little kiddies pool which is as old as the Olympic pool and is where I first learnt to swim as a tacka before venturing into the Olympic sized pool!!
