No frills, but tasty! The vegetarian fried dumplings are delicious. You can also buy frozen dumplings to take home.

My first taste of dumplings and they were delicious, full of flavour, juicy, fresh and light. Easy to eat quickly, dangerous to over eat.

A local friend took us to this little gem. The food was fantastic. Dumplings were full of flavour, one of the best I've had. Large portion sizes makes it great to share with friends and family.

Simple, tasty shanghainese style foods. The prok dumplings are pretty good, comparable to David and Camy's. The xiao long bao is nice and juicy. The Dan Dan noodle could've had more meats but overall very well worth the money and would definitely return.

Went looking for a great dumpling experience but was disappointed. Dumplings were ok, nothing special. We ordered three main meals: a soup, a noodle dish and a rice dish. All pretty tasteless although the crispy chicken on rice was quite good. We left most of the meals. Sizes were very generous and cheap.

Living in Caulfield North I was very excited to see a dumpling house open up nearby. There's not many around here! The restaurant looks sufficiently bad - so we figured it would be good! Lime green walls and a room devoid of decoration contains lots of basic plastic looking tables and vinyl covered chairs - just what you'd expect from a dumpling place. The service is as you'd expect as well from a dumpling place - they bring you food and that's about it. The dumplings are OK. Nothing as good as you'd get in town but still I've been back because it's convenient for me. The menu consists of lots of dumplings and then lots of noodles.

Gourmet Dumpling Restaurant is a new addition to the bevy of Chinese restaurants at the Dandenong Road end of Glenferrie Road, but it does have something different to offer. It brings to mind the dumpling restaurants in Box Hill or the city (such as Camy's) both in price (very reasonable), decor and cuisine, rather than the more traditional yum cha style dumpling fare. Dumplings don't come in groups of 3 or 4, rather groups of 10, 12 or 18-so if you want to sample a variety you really have to share with others. Apparently they make all their dumplings in house, and they are good-real ingredients rather than fillers, and quality pastry. The vegetarian dumplings were particularly good. They also have soups with various additions, and a reasonably long list of non soup and dumpling chinese dishes-generally not your tradional lemon chicken style food. I ordered take away the second time I was there, and unfortunately my pan fried dumplings were a bit burnt-a disappointment after my outstanding first visit, when I dined in.
