Abusive, aggressive and moody - don't take your dogs here if you value consistency and stability. Communication is an issue (they don't return calls, internet is magically often down, ask them to check something on your dog before you leave and they say it is ok and then you get a call that it is not, etc). On top of mood swings, arrogance is an issue as is lack of self control, resulting in name-calling (yes, the 'B' word to a customer!) and physical intimidation is an issue. IMHO needs a psychiatrist and should not be near animals - power drunk and projects onto owners when wants to get out of doing stuff.

I have taken my dogs to other places before going to Grand Designs and was very unhappy with the Grooming ..
I am not looking for personality people .. These people are dog people .. Not beauty contestants . .
I have never been unhappy in the four years .
I believe there people are excellent with dogs, and I am quite sure any accident in the grooming is just that .. How can you expect perfection 24/7 with a moving Target ..
I have told many , many people about Grand Designs . . I had tried at least 4 or 5 others before ,.
Oh also pricing was competitive maybe in some cases 5 $ more , then only if coat was overgrown . I expect that .
So I say go you good things you are the best .

Don't bother. They are expensive and some of the staff in particular look disinterested and don't want to be there. I was taking my dog there for a long time, not anymore. They leave cuts on my dog every time I take him there.His ears are never plucked properly and his nails are always too long so I have to trim them again when he gets home. Save your money and go some where else.

I've been taking my two bichon frise here for a while now.
I can't praise these guys enough.
My dogs are fussy and they just love all the staff. They're perfectly groomed every time. One of my dogs has dementia and the staff are fantastic with her. They're so patient, even when she's having a bad day.
I highly recommend them and tell all my friends too.

This is the first time we went there and it will be the last...
I walk in to drop my dogs off in the morning before work and I encounter (because I was not at all greeted) by a man who seemed so disinterested in my dogs and even being polite to me... I introduced my dogs, he didn't ask as he didn't care what their names were. "Grand Designs", I have friendlier and better service from a mobile dog wash franchise that has little to no training!
I pick my dogs up after 3pm, so they were required to be there for 7 hours and sure they were nice and clean but I have two winter breeds and they were brushed but not entirely deshedded, I was still pulling tufts of fur from them standing in the shop! So I'm not sure why 7 hours was required. The fur that grows under between their paws wasn't trimmed at all. I know they are cheap but I am prepared to pay top dollar for quality grooming. There are a lot of awards around the shop, perhaps they have let them go to their heads rather than do a quality job daily?
While I was paying there was another woman with her dog who was so dissatisfied they took the dog back out for another trim.
I had a bad experience, I took my dogs home and finished their grooming myself.

First time visit with my small dog for shampoo, de shedding and nails cut and some trimming all for the fantastic value of $20.00. Very clean, lots of space, parking at the back. Simon and the team clearly love dogs and taking care of them. They were referred to me by a first time user because they were so impressed and now I feel the same. When they rang me to pick her up I was anxious, but when I saw her happy and being handled with care, my concerns disappeared.
I will be going back in the New Year.
