We had a meal here with my partner's parents...the staff in the bistro were very friendly and we couldn't have asked for better service...it was a shame that the meals were just ordinary and nothing special...they could add more flavoring to the meals and make the menu more exciting...the bistro area itself looked like my old school canteen...no atmosphere...clean cutlery would be a good start also...if they made a few menu changes and spiced up the bistro area with some imagination i am sure word would get around and they would be very busy...i hope it improves

Very old pub, in character with the main street of Wellington. Could probably do with some updating inside, but then again, that could ruin the character of the place. We had lunch in the small restaurant (seating for about 25-30), but not crowded or cluttered. Good specials; $10 fish, chips and salad; $10 rump; $14 prawn cutlets; $17 chicken parmi. etc. Friendly service, meal served in about 15 minutes. The meals were very nice, nice salad and vegies, generous serve. Would happily use again.
