This is a general store/milkbar/post office agency and takeaway/cafe with outside seating as well as inside. Tourist information in the form of pamphlets and an outside noticeboard are available. The store is well presented, clean looking and things are easy to find. Some groceries are available but these are very expensive. The store has to compete with Ararat and Stawell takeaways and milkbars so I would have expected the person manning the counter on a busy public holiday would be less of a sour puss. No one has to buy anything there when an alternative is only ten minutes drive away.

Since this review I have had reason to pop into the store on a couple of occasions and the staff were friendly, smiling and everything was, "No probs". Neither lady was the one I met before.
